Frequently Asked Questions

Where are the pickup locations?

Pickup locations are at two of the farms, Stick & Stone Farm and Three Swallows Farm. Home delivery is available as well as group deliveries (5 or more shares delivered to a single location).

How long does the season last?

Generally, the season starts in the beginning of June and ends a week or so before Thanksgiving. This is somewhat dependent on weather. You will receive an email or phone call the week before we startup and the last week of distribution.

Do I have to work on the farms?

No, work is not required, however there are opportunities for work either as a volunteer or in exchange for a share. Limited number of work trade shares are available for various jobs, for the CSA and at the individual farms. If you are interested in working for the CSA (newsletter, distribution, special events, etc) please contact us, if you would like to do a work share on one of the farms please contact the individual farm you would like to work at.

We also hold several work parties during the year, and need help with our special events. There will be pick-your-own crops such as green beans, snap peas, and cherry tomatoes at the pickup farms, all members are welcome to come to either farm for u-pick.

Will a share be too much/too little for me?

A share is 1-2 full bags of veggies each week. For pickup, you get to choose from what's available for the week, for delivery, shares are boxed up for you. Lifestyles vary but if you cook regularly, a share will feed a small family.

Can I buy a half share?

We are not offering half shares this season...BUT if you don't feel like you could take full advantage of a share you are welcome to split the share with a neighbor, friend, coworker, etc. If you would like to split a share with someone and are having trouble finding someone, contact us.

This is a great idea, but I can't afford it.

We believe that everyone should eat well and have access to healthful fresh produce.

Can I switch pickup locations?

Yes, you can switch pickup locations if you plan on missing your regular pickup. Just let our coordinator Melissa know when you plan on switching a few days in advance.

When can I come do u-pick crops at the CSA?

You can generally come during daytime hours to either Three Swallows Farm and Stick & Stone Farm to do U-Pick. If you haven't done u-pick for that crop please ask the farmers where the best picking is. All are welcome to either farm location.

How does the monthly payment plan work?

The last month's payment is due upfront along with the sign-up form. Then five more monthly payments are due starting in June. Payments due in the middle of each month.
